Natural highlights

I’m speaking only of color and motifs, don’tcha know. Lucky for us, Chiasso has all things flora to fawn over—and, better still, there’s no formula to follow. So let’s get ready to let our hair down everywhere, shall we?
You may want to think about starting with your walls. Next to a full-tilt paint job, the art you choose sets the mood (lighting sets the tone) more than anything else in the room. Want to greet the new season in a fresh, cheerful way? Try these canvases on for size against a contrasting bright white, chartreuse or mango background:

Speaking of “ground,” nothing says natural like a stone doormat…

exquisite floral-patterned rug…

or contemporary-shaped, environmentally friendly stools carved out of a single piece of solid monkeypod wood by Thai craftsmen. They’re great as seating or side tables—in Zen baths to master suites to dining rooms—and like you, every one is unique.
Okay, now that you’re down with the botanical basics, it’s time to decorate with wild abandon. First stop: pillows! (Which side are you on—the warm or cool hues?)

Finish off with some twiggy votives…

Moss balls to place in centerpieces and decorative vases or bowls…

And fun “bamboo” decals that you can peel and stick around doorways, as murals and more…

And you’ve got yourself quite a surf-sand-sky-and-meadowland that’ll be inviting and warm, year-round, no matter what the thermometer says.
