Every fashion designer has an indelible one in his or her seasonal collection. And every fashionista has one in her closet, whether it’s a dress, hat, pin, pair of shoes…So, doesn’t your home deserve one, too—a sofa, wall art, table sculpture, lamp or vase that jumps right out and shouts “I’m the most YOU of all the things in this place that defines you!”?
If you had to pick one thing, what would it be? (Hint: it has to be super distinctive.) If you’re stumped, or in need of a new signature, here are a few suggestions:

The Abby sofa—especially check out the tufting, bolsters and tweed finish. It’s so mid-century modern and fresh at the same time. If you want to make up a story about how you spotted it in a dealer show in Cleveland, had it shipped back home, restuffed and recovered in authentic 1959 fabric that your great-uncle amazing discovered while cleaning out the back of his storeroom just as you were throwing up your arms and settling for the print kettle cloth he originally offered, we’ll support you on it.

The Aria rug – If you got out a really cool rubber stamp and alternately dipped it in cream, chocolate brown and powder blue ink as you stamp! stamp! stamped! on a pretty olive piece of paper you could kinda-sorta duplicate this look. Two-dimensionally. On a much smaller scale. But this is a fluffy, finely crafted area rug. And it’s quite a keeper.

Infiniti stools –Whoa. Even your most jaded friends will ask where you got ‘em.

Glimmer wall candleholders—ditto on the above. Especially if you line a wall with a mix of both sizes and light all the tea lights at once. Simply magical!
